A German Carrier
The Hindenburg, a German passenger airship, is depicted in this photograph. This photograph was shot a year before the plane crashed in 1937, killing 36 of the 97 passengers and crew members on board. It has been suggested that the Hindenburg served as a Nazi transport ship at one point.
The Corsair Crash
The Vought F4U Corsair was hailed as one of the world’s fastest planes at the time of its introduction. Because of its speed, it was designed to garner a great deal of attention, and it took off from a Navy ship. Unfortunately, it would never live up to its potential since it would crash immediately after takeoff, destroying everything.
