Black Panther
This film struck the globe by storm, it had fans marveling unlike before over the Marvel film. It was the 18th Marvel film to be released. It received seven nominations at the 91st Academy Awards and it was the first superhero-themed movie to receive Best Picture Nomination. The film’s direction and cast meant a lot to the African community worldwide as black individuals feel they are not often the center of Hollywood stardom and for this, the black community was fully represented front and center.
Citizen Kane
This is an oldy but a goody. With a Rotten Tomatoes rating of 100%. With many nominations and award achievements, the 1940 film is still a fan-favorite. Although they failed at the time to make up costs the film has been brought back to life in recent years and is even available on Blu-Ray. The film based on the life of protagonist Charles Foster Kane is for sure a timeless classic.
