Upon arriving at the farm, the police had been confused to find all the cars in the newly tilled fields. They had plenty of questions as they went up to Bedekovic. He was sitting on the tractor as this was happening. Could they possibly charge him for obstruction of traffic? Even though he was the owner of the property, the town did benefit from the customers of the flea market. They needed somewhere to park the cars if they were going to boost the economy. It Was Within His Right
After talking to Bedekovic about it, the cops reached the conclusion that it was well within his right to do this. Even though it was a huge inconvenience for the tourists, he did nothing wrong as the property owner. They left their cars there without his permission, and he could plow the fields anytime that he wants. Aside from that, the cars were releasing chemicals on his land that had been threatening his source of income. In the end, the police packed up and left without even handing him a warning.
