Turns out, the rock icon had a favor to ask this leader as well. It seems that the international superstar wanted the president to grant a pardon to his friend who had some legal troubles. Carter wasn’t so eager to help compared to his predecessor, though Presley and Carter had a conversation before hanging up, which must have been quite an interesting phone call!

Elvis Presley is definitely among the greatest icons of the twentieth century and he is widely recognized as such, which is why some might have expected a huge funeral for him, one that would match the grandiose parties he had which were filled with booze, chimpanzees and lovely ladies.
