When it comes to public displays of affection, the royals have strict guidelines. During certain outings, Markle would, for example, rub Harry on the back to replace what they would typically do. PDA is acceptable in some situations, but in serious situations, even body language should be scrutinized. When Markle wants to kiss her husband, she no longer has to consider her location or what she’s doing.

Crossing Legs Is Acceptable Again
Markle was no longer able to cross her legs after marrying into the family. She had to follow a different set of rules. According to the protocol, she could only cross her ankles and had to keep her legs and knees together. It was probably frustrating for her not to be able to do something that had almost become instinctive at this point in her life. It could be a huge relief for her to be able to cross her lower extremities in public again.
