Actress Gemma Merna was cast in the role of Carmel McQueen in the Channel 4 soap Hollyoaks, which introduced many pretty faces to the small screen. From 2006 to 2014, she was a regular on the show. She has appeared on a few reality shows, including The Chase and Virtually Famous, in addition to a Hollyoaks spin-off. Tracy Shaw became a well-known actress and a fan favorite after joining Coronation Street in 1995 as the chatty hairdresser Maxine Peacock. Her demise in 2003 was one of the most anticipated storylines, as a serial killer murdered her! Tracy’s career may have taken a hit due to her on-screen death, and she could only find work on stage and in a few other shows. She was set to appear on Loose Women, where she announced that she would be taking a break from acting.
