John Altman – Nick Cotton from EastEnders
In 1985, actor John Altman was cast in the soap opera EastEnders, and he became one of the show’s original cast members. On the soap, he played the antagonist “Nasty” Nick Cotton, who was probably the worst character on screen, earning him a bad rep. John would leave the East Enders for 5 years, only to return for a year before being killed off in 2015. He went on to do guest roles on stage, in movies, and on television and write an autobiography. He has been the frontman of the band Heavy Metal Kids since 2010.
