While many soap opera stars have struggled to a breakthrough on the big screen, actor Ben Hardy appears to have cracked the code. He made his acting debut in 2012 and the following year landed the role of Peter Beale in EastEnders. Ben was only a cast member on the show for two years, but he left an indelible impression on his viewers. In 2016, he landed his first major film role in X-Men Apocalypse, followed by Bohemian Rhapsody in 2017. This boy doesn’t appear to be returning to the idiot box anytime soon.

Gillian Taylforth – Kathy Beale from EastEnders
When Gillian Taylforth joined the EastEnders cast in 1985, she was cast as Kathy Beale, an attractive and morally upright lady. Gillian would become well-known and receive offers for other roles, but her time on the show was limited. She left the show in 2000 and went on to star in Footballers’ Wives, The Bill, Celebrity Big Brother, Hollyoaks, and Loose Women, among other shows. Gillian is still acting on Coronation Street after a 15-year absence, and her character is quite tormented!
