Rare Communion Set
During the Byzantine period, Russian Orthodox priests would take these “hospital” kits to hospitals. They would administer communion to patients in their beds and even give last rites if needed. They were often gold-plated and decorated with religious art. A communion set is worth at least $800 because they are rather rare. A thrift store customer managed to store one of these for only a fraction of that amount. The kit came with a chalice, a flagon, and a storage space for the wafers.
