Europe met the budding star during the 1975 European Women’s Artistic Gymnastics Championships in Skien, Norway. Nadia took home a gold medal for all of her performances but one, for which she received a silver. She was only 13 years old and already spectators realized the potential she held.

The American Cup
It was the first time that Nadia Comăneci flew across the world. She competed in the American Cup in 1976 which would serve as a warm-up for the Summer Olympics in Montreal, Canada. She took the gymnastics arena by storm and scored perfect results.
