The Lady of Cao
Researchers had been working on the El Brujo region in Peru even before 1990. However, they only found the Lady of Cao in 2005. Believed to have died in 400, she wore simple clothes. Experts assume that she was Moche. They believe she was aristocratic because she was buried with different artifacts.
What The Lady Of Cao Really Looked Like
Not long after her discovery, they took the remains to an El Brujo museum to store her in a climate-controlled room. She can be viewed through a looking glass. They brought her back with this rendering, but her role in society remains unknown. They think she was in her late twenties when she died. Some believe that she was a human sacrifice.
