Crosby trusted and befriended other animals quite easily. This could be seen in the way he became close to the neighbor’s dog and cat. For nearly eight years, the trio did all sorts of antics. However, his two best friends suddenly passed away one after the other. Naturally, their owner was very sad to lose two pets in quick succession, but he was not alone in his grief. Crosby was devastated as well.

Pets love companionship. As a matter of fact, it is one of the reasons they exist. They truly value companionship, so when they lose it, they feel sad as well. They feel grief like humans do. Naturally, Crosby would feel a bit down. After all, he lost his best friends. However, this was not really the reason for his behavior. There was something else that was causing Crosby to act this way.
