While they filmed Magnum, P.I., the actor was not supposed to do any other projects. Considering how fast his popularity soared, it must have been hard to accept this. Can you just imagine how hard it was to lose the part of Indy in Raiders of the Lost Ark? Yep, Selleck had to turn it down since it coincided with his schedule for Magnum. If you thought this was traffic, it gets even worse. Remember how we said that the filming for the show got delayed? When you factor in the delay, he would have been able to star in the blockbuster hit.

Here is another big role that could have gone to Tom Selleck. Apparently, he was offered the chance to star in Victor/Victoria opposite Julie Andrews. Back then, he had his reservations on joining the cast of the 1982 film. When he decided he wanted to do it, he already signed the Magnum contract. We hope it was worth it to miss out on these iconic projects.
