It’s rare, but always keep your wits about you.” Francesca listened intently, imagining the piercing eyes of a wolf hidden in the shadows.

“Another thing to be mindful of are bears,” her grandfather continued. “They’re majestic but potentially dangerous if we disturb their territory. We need to keep all food sealed and away from the campsite. A bear’s sense of smell is keen, and we wouldn’t want to attract one.” Francesca nodded, trying to remember all the rules she had learned about keeping a bear-safe camp.
