His stand-up routines became an immediate success which caused his career to soar to new heights. His signature wackiness and humorous nature were his greatest assets that made him legendary. This picture was taken in 1978. Robin Williams was in front of the Comedy Store, the place where he mastered his comedic act for many years prior to his big move to the movie industry. He got his first break in the TV show Mork and Mindy, but he will always be remembered in movies like Jumanji, Mrs. Doubtfire, Hook, and Night at the Museum.

This iconic photo of music’s greatest singers was indeed taken during the Groovy Era. It shows the King of Soul Marvin Gaye, meeting the would-be King of Pop Michael Jackson. The latter musician debuted with his brothers Jackie, Tito, Jermaine, and Marlon back in 1964, calling themselves the Jackson 5. Shortly after this photo was taken, Michael Jackson left the Jackson 5 and started a solo career. In the 1970’s and 1980’s, Michael Jackson became the “King of Pop” thanks to his hit songs.
