Everyone has something that comes to mind when the word “The Godfather” has been spoken, especially to those people who like to go to cinemas and watch movies. Francis Ford Coppola’s movie entitled “The Godfather” is a classic film and was based on a novel by Mario Puzzo, but not everyone knows that there is so much more to the original story. Before Marlon Brando brought Vito Corleone into this industry, the character was inspired by a mob boss named Frank Costello. The real-life story of “The Godfather” was even more terrifying than it is in the cinema.

The Godfather Was Inspired By Mob Boss, But There’s A Deeper Story Behind The Film
It All Started In Italy
The infamous story of Castello doesn’t even start yet in New York. Francesco Castiglia was born in a place somewhere in Southern Italy in 1891. Francesco knew to himself that it would not be too good for him to stay in that old country for a very long time. He also knew that there are a lot of things that this world can offer to him, huge opportunities and such things. There were bigger and better things that were waiting for him.

It All Started In Italy
The American Dream
Back when Frank was only a kid, his family decided to go to New York. Frank and his family boarded a ship and shipped across the entire Atlantic. After very long hours of traveling, the family arrived in a place where big opportunities await, New York. From here, Frank has no idea of the things that would come his way. He also has no idea that the American Dream was waiting for him as soon as his feet landed on the grounds of New York.

The American Dream
Young Frank
Life is not easy living in a city that is new to your senses. It’s not easy also to have a feeling that has a new environment. Living in New York is challenging for anyone who stays there. So the Costello family had to think of ways to earn money to sustain their daily needs. After a while, they opened a grocery store somewhere in East Harlem. However, young Frank started following different paths and directions. A much darker American Dream was waiting for him, darker than his parents’.

Young Frank
Bad Crowd
As Frank was getting older, he didn’t realize that the people that surround him were going to be a hindrance to him. He fell into a bad crowd that made his life miserable. After then, he was serving his time in jail for robbery and assault. But, in 1981, it came into his senses that he should have a much brighter life than he is currently, he decided to make a major change for his life. And he made sure that his future was going to be different.

Bad Crowd
He Served In Jail
That year, it was a year full of hope and a life to be filled with prosperous things. Costello got married to a woman that she loved the most. But, unexpectedly, he was arrested again and sentenced to serve 10 months in jail for carrying a concealed weapon. When the time came that he would be out of prison, he decided that it would be best for him and to his wife to make a very solemn vow, promising that he will never carry any kind of weapon again.

He Served In Jail
He Never Had A Weapon
From then on, Frank Costello made sure that he will not carry a weapon even if there is a valid reason for him to carry one. Even when he started to work for a local family gang called “Morello Family Gang”. He refused the offer of the gang to carry a weapon with him. But, thinking wisely, Costello made sure that he must be protected at all times, that is why he befriended a powerful ally.

Criminal Affairs
In the course of Costello’s criminal affair, he became acquainted with a man named Charles Luciano which is known to be “Lucky”. These two men are very critical thinkers. Frank and Charles hit it off, and in a short period of time, they started to work together thinking that maybe with their both powers and might, they will gain much profit that will make their lives easy.

Criminal Affairs
The Combine
After such time, Frank Costello and Charles Luciano thought that it would be a help for them to team up with men who would make so much money. That’s why they teamed up with Meyer Lansky and Benjamin Siegel which is known to be called “Bugsy”. These two men were their way to get into the bootlegging business. It is a business wherein the illegal distribution of goods in alcohol and other things. Right then, the Irish mob joined their guild which forms a group and called themselves “The Combine”.

The Combine
Prime Minister Of The Underworld
Not a long time after their group teamed up and joined forces, The Combine eventually fell where Frank Costello emerged unscathed. Frank grew up in the arms of the respected “Prime Minister of the Underworld”, someone who had a lot of connections with anyone from any rival gang and their bosses. Not only to gangs but also to people with powers, these are government officials.

Prime Minister Of The Underworld
National Crime Syndicate
Frank made use of the connections that the “Prime Minister of the Underworld” gave him. He took advantage of these connections to bring together all the crime bosses which were organized in America. With those families who have certain differences from one another, they agreed to this invitation. And from that moment, when all the differences were put aside and Costello leading it, the National Crime Syndicate was born and was established.

Mob War
However, anyone would understand that there could be some people that would not be on the list at this party because Frank got lots of people on his mind. It would be understandable that there might be some people that would be invited, and at the same time, there might be some people that would be neglected. But, there were two men that weren’t invited to the party, which resulted in them starting their own mob war. These said men are named Salvatore Maranzano and Joe Masseria.

Mob War
New Era Of Organized Crime
Frank decided to kill these two men who were trying to fight his plans. First, Costello and Luciano convinced Maranzano to kill the other man, Masseria. Once Luciano knew that his order to Maranzano was finished, Luciano then sent some hitmen coming from Murder Inc. to murder Maranzano. With these two men who started their own mob war was out of the picture, a new era of organized crime arose.

New Era Of Organized Crime
The Commission
After the organized killing that happened to Maranzano and Masseria, without Frank Costello in the picture, Luciano decided to start his own corporation. He formed an organization that was named “The Commission” which brought all the American organized crime under his own possession. He then designated positions to the people who are involved here. His committee was represented by the leading families in the entire country. While Charles Luciano himself was proclaimed as the chairman of his own organization.

The Commission
He Was Convicted
However, in 1936, unexpectedly Luciano was convicted on 70 counts less of compulsory prostitution and was sent to prison. Because of his conviction in prison, he then initially passed his throne of being the chairman to Vito Genovese. And eventually, all the leadership duties were passed to the possession of Frank Costello.

He Was Convicted
World Of Organized Crime Investigation
Luciano realized while he was serving time in prison, life at the top is not always easy and in excellent condition. In the early 1950s, the senate of the United State of America launched its own investigation into the world of organized crime. Without any surprise, Costello knew to himself that he would be called to testify about the issue where organized crime was happening.

World Of Organized Crime Investigation
Not A Common Criminal
With the power to plead the Fifth Amendment of the U.S constitution, Frank, with no hesitations, agreed to speak. While having the hope to differentiate himself as to what he truly is, he showed that he wasn’t a common criminal. He also refused to tackle his finances because it will reveal to the court that he is doing something that would throw him into prison. Because of the act that he showed in front of the constitution, he was then convicted in a case of contempt.

Attempted Assassination
For the next ten years, Costello served his time in jail in various prisons located inside the United States. And when the time came that he will be free coming out from prison, he was then targeted in an assassination attempt charged unto him. Because of what is happening around him, including all those killing attempts that were made to him, things proved out as to be too much for a man who spent ten years of his life inside the prisons of the United States.

Attempted Assassination
New Mob Leader
Frank Costello decided to take a step back from what he is and turned over his control to the former leader, Vito Genovese. Frank focused most of his days in his house, gardening, and some other stuff. Even if he returned to Vito Genovese his powers in the company, he maintained the respect and honor in the world of organized crime.

Heart Attack
Living his peaceful life inside his house, away from other toxic things. A tragic moment happened last February 1973. This is when Frank Costello suffered from a massive heart attack, he was then rushed to the hospital but he didn’t last long, he couldn’t survive. And when the time that his burial would happen, the real-life godfather was only memory because Frank was gone and so was the real-life godfather.

Heart Attack
Not The Only One
Concealed from the knowledge of others that Frank Castello isn’t the only one who has a dark side story in the world of organized crime. Without anyone knowing that it is not only Frank that has a bad story in crimes, but there was also this man named Jimmy Hoffa. Jimmy then rises to power and the eventual disappearance of the “The Godfather”, Frank Castello, seems to be tame.

Not The Only One
Most Famous Missing Person
Before Jimmy Hoffa was known to be the most famous missing person in entire America, his real and full name was James Riddle Hoffa. He was an average kid who grew up in the streets of Brazil, Indiana. When he was a kid, aged 11 years old, James Hoffa together with his family relocated somewhere in Detroit, Michigan. And at the age of 14, due to the family’s shortage of needs, James dropped out of school to support his family in doing things that can make them save up money.

Formed A Union At Work
In the times where Jimmy helped his family, these were also the times that he got his first taste of what it is like having a union life, as the grocery chain he worked at paid him a very much little amount of money and subjected him to poor working conditions. From then, Hoffa and his coworkers decided to build a union. And despite his early age, he got into a position where his leadership side would be trained.

He Pursued The Union Activities
However, the conditions in the grocery chain that he is working for did not improve and maintained its poor working state; he apparently left the said grocery chain and pursued other union activities that were introduced to him. Soon after he made the decision to abandon the chain, he was invited to become an organizer in an organization called the International Brotherhood of Teamsters’ Local 299 that was located in his town in Detroit.

He Pursued The Union Activities
The Teamsters
From the start of his career in the International Brotherhood of Teamsters’ Local 299, he proved to the members of it that he can be effective even if he’s only new to the company. He consolidated union trucker groups into regional sectors. He even managed to double the membership from 75,000 boosting to 170,000 by the year 1936 and even reached 420,000 members in the year 1939. And by the year 1951, the company, Teamsters union had reached the top place of acquiring one million members.

Quickie Strikes
The name Quickie Strikes was used as a strategy or tactic and solitary action amongst the boycotting members and workers. Hoffa was also able to achieve and secure many valuable contracts, which is the reason why Teamsters is one of the most powerful unions in their country at that time. But unfortunately, Hoffa was not only relying on his business acumen to get his job done.

Expanding Teamsters’ Influence
Hoffa thought of various ways on how he can expand the company’s influence all over the world. In able for Hoffa to expand the Teamsters’ influence, he made such accommodations and agreements with numerous organized crime families. He started to make arrangements for those families who belong in the area of Detroit. Together with the growth of the union, and so is the mafia’s role in Teamsters’ affair.

Expanding Teamsters’ Influence
Head Of The Michigan Teamsters
After achieving side-to-side success, arrangements, and new opportunities he made for the company Teamsters, he then became the president of the Local 299 last December 1946. And after leading the group that was combined with locals in the Detroit-area, he was named as the head of Michigan’s Teamsters. When he had this achievement, he didn’t stop reaching stars for himself. Afterward, he went off to become the national vice-president of the company Teamsters and he made sure that he can further expand his hold over this particular union.

Head Of The Michigan Teamsters
Teamster President
After quite some time, it is not surprising that Hoffa was named as the president of Teamsters, even though there was corrupt dealing that he made and an ongoing criminal investigation that wound up costing this particular union in the much greater AFL-CIO federation of unions. But still, Jimmy Hoffa was reelected by the loyal people that served up to him. And eventually, he reunited under the National Master Freight Agreement all the truck drivers who are located in North America.

Sentenced To Jail
After all the withdrawn trust that he gained from his people, it is still not enough to save him from going behind the bars. Whereas, in 1967, Hoffa was sentenced to serve 13 years in prison with the accumulated charges; fraud, bribery, and conspiracy. Even behind the given circumstances, Hoffa still tried to take control of the teamsters behind his bars. But then, a man named Frank Fitzsimmons, known to be Hoffa’s successor, cut off all contacts that Hoffa might be able to reach when he is inside the jail.

Sentenced To Jail
He’s Not Allowed To Pursue Leadership
After being in prison for 4 years, President Richard Nixon offered an exchange to Hoffa. The president commuted Hoffa given the condition that he could not pursue any form of leadership under a particular union. But with Hoffa’s pride and eagerness to get back to leadership, he just smirked this rule that was given to him. His willingness was not shaken off by this agreement. That is why in 1973, Hoffa was already planning to retake all the control he had with the company Teamsters.

He’s Not Allowed To Pursue Leadership
Lost His Supporters
Unfortunately for Hoffa, after his time in prison, he lost all the support he had back when he was still in the company. Hoffa’s criminal indictment was the primary reason why his earlier supporters had disappeared. Due to having all his supporters in the company lost its competence in the union itself, there was extreme resistance from the union heads to approve his newly proposed campaign. But despite all these inequities, his former union associates have proved to be the least of his worries for the meantime.

Lost His Supporters
His Power Is A Threat To His Allies
It is believed that the reassertion of Hoffa’s power could be a strong threat to many of his mob allies. They also conceived that his presence has the ability to interfere with the control of the mafias into the Teamsters pension funds. There were also rumors that had been spread to people that he was cooperating with the investigations that were laid against the organized crime. His fate was sealed when this rumor started to spread.

Two Known Mafioso
There was a meeting that was set for Hoffa and men who were named as Anthony Provenzano and Anthony Giacalone, back on July 30, 1975. These two men are known to be a member of a mafia. The State Police and the FBI were called to do an investigation because right after the meeting, there was no sign of Hoffa returning to his place after the said meeting. Afterward, the scent of Hoffa’s dead body was found in the trunk of a car that belonged to Mr. Anthony Giacalone’s brother.

Two Known Mafioso
They Denied The Meeting
However, in spite of the accusations, Provenzano and Giacalone denied there was no particular meeting that happened. Both men were found outside the area of that day. Even after the investigations that were made, the bugging and the surveilling a number of high-ranking mobsters, the authorities could not find any significant proof that these two men were present in the said murder of a man who was named Hoffa. These two were proven not guilty of the accusations that were laid to their names.

They Denied The Meeting
He Was Declared Dead
After a very long time of conducting the investigation, Hoffa was officially declared dead as of July 30, 1982. It was a long 7 years for the searching of his case. Since then, there were several reports that tried to explain what was the fate of Hoffa, but the experts believed that only a handful of the said reports were to be claimed as true and had real credibility.

He Was Declared Dead
A Subject Of Debate
As time passes, it is continued to believe that Hoffa was killed by a mob who can’t be figured out. By this time, it is all subject to debate because no one really knows what happened. And there was this one particular theory who claims that Hoffa’s body was buried under the old Giants Stadium. Upon researching if this theory is true, by using ground-penetrating radar that would prove that this claim is true, it was a failed research for there was nobody found beneath it.

A Subject Of Debate
Another Theory
There was another theory that was introduced by a man named Richard Kuklinski, which is known to be called “The Iceman”. He’s theory believed that Hoffa’s body was placed in a 5t0-gallon drum and was set on fire. Not only was it set on fire, but it was also buried into the ground, compacted in a small junkyard, and was shipped to Japan whereas it was made to become scrap metal. But despite providing such analysis that was said a while ago, the experts found it doubtful.

Another Theory
Most Popular Theory
Among all the theories that were presented to be true as to, how did Hoffa die? This theory is known to be the most popular, and the most believed in the theory that was made. It says that Hoffa was murdered by a man named Frank Sheeran, also known as “The Irishman”. Sheeran was a mob hitman and also a longtime friend of Hoffa. This theory also believes the body of Hoffa was turned into ashes that left the investigators with no trace or no sign of any pieces of evidence.

It’s Not Hoffa’s Bloodstains
Later on, Frank Sheeran himself admitted that he was the one who murdered Hoffa. He claims that he shot Hoffa twice in the head when he brought him to his house somewhere in Detroit. The controversial thing about this was that the DNA testing that was performed in the house of Frank, where the said case happened, claims that the bloodstains that were found inside the house of Frank in Detroit do not belong to Hoffa. However, he still claims that he is the one who killed Hoffa.

It’s Not Hoffa’s Bloodstains
One Of America’s Most Infamous Cold Cases
Up until now, the disappearance of Hoffa still remains to be the most infamous cold cases that America has, one that is likely to be unsolved. But despite Hoffa’s connections that he gained when he was only making up his way to become the president of Teamsters, it cost him his life. Now, he is not the only 20th-century celebrity that has a way too deep investigation in the criminal underworld.

Frank Is More Dangerous Than You Thought
Proclaimed as one of the greatest entertainers of all time, and was a kind of man every woman could ever dream of and a kind of man that every man wanted to be, that is Frank Sinatra. Frank was adored by a lot of women because of his style, his bright blue eyes, and his million-dollar smile. But behind all these great compliments that he can receive from a person, he is believed to be more dangerous than any eyes that could be laid upon him.

Frank Is More Dangerous Than You Thought
Sinatramania
His story all began when “Sinatramania” was running wild across the lands of America and other parts of the world back in the 1940s. Every teenage girl would love to be with him and flocked to these famous young crooners. Besides all the parties and all the girls that made their way just to cling to him, it wasn’t the only bunch of people that want to be as close to Frank Sinatra. It was also the FBI who wants to observe little things that Frank Sinatra is making.

Sinatramania
How Dangerous Is He?
In the mind of those people who belong in the bureau, there is this kind of influence that Sinatra can give to his audience. For the bureau, it was dangerous that a man like Sinatra can provide for those people who watch his shows. It was compared with the blind devotion of the bureau that WWII had made it too familiar with them. But all this thinking was just paranoia. Well, after all, the question that the bureau has is “how dangerous could a singer really be?”

How Dangerous Is He
Unfit To Serve
In order for the FBI to know what the truth is, they attempted to shake these suspicions that they have towards Frank. But later on, it was declared that the singer is ineligible to these suspicions. Shortly, a rumor has been spread that, in order for Sinatra to hide his shades, he paid the doctor $40,000 to deem him unfit to serve. Well, the FBI could not just ignore these kinds of rumors because they still believe that he has something that he’s not showing to people.

Unfit To Serve
Psychological Issues
After all the investigations that the FBI is conducting towards the singer Frank Sinatra, they found out that the reason for Sinatra’s exemption is a punctured eardrum and has psychological issues. All of this was legitimate. But still, the agency still suspects that there is something wrong with Frank Sinatra.

Psychological Issues
Members Of The Mafia
At the start of his own career in the industry of singing, Frank Sinatra was associated with some individuals that had a dark past behind them, namely those people who are members who have a high rank in Mafia. Even though Frank always denies that he is not a mobster himself. Still, the kind of friendship that he has with those known to be mafias made him an entirely different picture of a man beloved by a bunch of people. There is a saying “birds of the same feather, flock together”

Members Of The Mafia
Notorious Leader
Sam Giancana is one of the closest friends that Sinatra has. Sam is also the notorious leader of the famous Chicago Outfit. Some also say that it was Frank Sinatra who introduced Sam Giancana to Senator John F. Kennedy in a bid to secure votes for his run for the presidency. Knowing that Frank and Sam are close friends, Sinatra sometimes works some gigs in one of Giancana’s nightclubs in payment for such favors and as a sign of their strong bond of friendship.

Notorious Leader
Assassination Of The Cuban President
Sinatra was known to be friendly, so whether he had a friend that a friend of his didn’t know, he was the one who would introduce them to one another. It was also Sinatra who introduced Senator Kennedy to a woman named Judith Campbell Exner, known to be the girlfriend of Giancana. She was, allegedly, the liaison between these two men, Kennedy and Giancana, during the CIA’s plot to assassinate the Cuban President who is known to be Fidel Castro.

FBI Records
Sinatra’s mob ties do not end here. The FBI records gave accounts to gambling bosses Joseph and Charles Fischetti who are from Chicago. It was also said that Sinatra performed in the Atlantic City Club on behalf of the mobster Angelo Bruno who is from Philadelphia. Frank’s own godfather was the one who exerted pressure to get him out of a contract in 1951, he was known to be Willie Moretti. This explains all the mob ties that Frank has that time.

There Are Evidence
The FBI was there monitoring every step of the way that the singer was creating. They keep an eye on him including his frequent rendezvous with Anthony and Vito Giacalone who are known to be mobsters in Detroit. Whereas, the FBI tried to collect evidence against Frank. This evidence didn’t look great for the part of the singer Frank Sinatra.

There Are Evidence
Weekend Gatherings
The retired FBI agent, Sam Ruffino, shared that it was not easy for them to track every move that Sinatra was making. As he recalls, he said, “It was like clockwork”. Wherein there would be some instances a few times in a year that they would trail the Giacalone’s to the airport where they would pick up Frank and they would usually spend some time, mostly the weekends, together socializing and talking about random stuff every after Frank’s shows.

Weekend Gatherings
He Doesn’t Care
Ruffino continues to share about how Frank Sinatra was friendly to anyone, even if those people whom he hangs around are known, murderers and hoodlums. He also said that there are nights that the police would totally shut down the place they are in and all that Frank does is to stare at them and won’t even make any apologies. He specifically said that “Almost every night, [the police] shut the place down and he didn’t make any apologies for it. He didn’t care, those were his friends”

He Doesn’t Care
Havana Conference
Frank Sinatra attended the infamous conference that was called the “Havana Conference” which was in Cuba. He was with his great friends, Fischetti and Lucky Luciano. It seems that it was only the FBI who cared about what Frank was doing in every single time, they even included in the newspapers that were sent across the whole country, together with the printed headlines questioning the singer and all the actions that he was making back then.

Havana Conference
Suspicious Activity
Out of all the things that the FBI is doing against Frank Sinatra, still, he was not charged with any criminal behavior. His ties with the mobs were not the only thing that the government perceived as a threat. The files that the FBI has against Sinatra were filled with additional accounts about the activities that he does that are suspicious. Most of his files that the FBI was about him and it revolves around the political sympathies that he has.

Suspicious Activity
Systematic Racism And Discrimination
Frank was a spokesperson of the liberal policies and he always condemns the racism and discrimination that is happening around him. It was also mentioned a while ago that he was friends with John F. Kennedy, and his relationship with him was also viewed as suspicious by the FBI. And some even accused Sinatra that he was having his ties with people who are Communist.

Systematic Racism And Discrimination
Accused Of Being A Communist
Yes, it is true that Sinatra defended few individuals that were accused of being a Communist. Even the people who are part of Hollywood, Frank also defended some names that were accused of being a Communist. He was also the one who helped to find the Committee for the First Amendment, which was defined as the group that supported different writers and directors. These writers and directors were also known to be blacklisted during the time that the Red Scare happened.

Accused Of Being A Communist
Threats Of Extortion
Sinatra’s file with the FBI didn’t solely serve as a means for them to lay a criminal case upon him. Whereas, the FBI also knew that there are records of extortion, violence, and blackmails that were made against his name. He was also integral in giving advice when his son, Frank Sinatra Jr. was kidnapped back in 1963. These are some of the reasons why the FBI can’t pull a warrant against his name.

Threats Of Extortion
Behind Bars
After all these particular times, Frank knew that the FBI was watching every single step that he was making. In the year 1979 and 1980, the singer, Frank Sinatra, was receiving copies of his personal files under the law of Freedom of Information Act. In spite of the files that contain several topics to point out, it also speaks volumes of how the government was so eager and was so willing to put the singer behind the bars of a prison.

Behind Bars
Bill Of Rights
One historian named Gerald Meyer wrote something about the case of Frank Sinatra. He mentioned in his article that the files that the FBI has against Frank expose a situation that is very discouraging. He also mentioned that Sinatra didn’t do any activity that the Bill of Rights disallowed. These were the exact words “Sinatra’s FBI dossier reveals a dismaying situation. At no time does it contain anything that even hints at an activity disallowed by the Bill of Rights.”

They Kept It For Five Decades
As expected, the FBI kept Sinatra’s file open for about nearly five years, which they only closed when he died in 1998. At this particular time, the bureau gathered two thousand four hundred three in a total of all the words that were spoken and every move that Frank Sinatra made. You could see here how the FBI investigated every moment that was suspicious of them that Frank was doing. Also, you can say they are all eyes on the case of Sinatra by not closing it until he was dead.

Julia Child
While Sinatra was not the one to be blamed as the mastermind that some pegged him to be. There were also big names that had a dark side in their sweet name, especially those who are part of Hollywood. One of these is Julia Child. The name Julia Child is known to be best for her French cooking and who has bubbly characteristics. However, before all these things that made her popular, she has lived a life that is a little more dangerous than a kitchen could ever be.

Her life before was way too different from what she is now. Her real name was Julia McWilliams before she became the lovely Julia Child. Back then, her high expectations as to who she is going to be are as high as the clouds above. Yet, out of all her ambitions, food was not one of them. At first, when the cooking career was offered to her, she didn’t submit to the fact that she was doing it for her own good. It just resulted in a stubborn Julia.

Julia’s Too Tall
For a girl, Julia is too tall compared to everyone else. Standing in 6 feet and 2, Julia exceeded the height requirement for the armed services. Wherein, a song dedicated to her was then penned by a particular group called The Bobs. This situation for Julia served as an inspiration to Bob to make an acapella song. It is a song about a culinary master’s life. The lyrics say that “She’s too tall to be a spy, but not too tall to bake a pie.”

She Volunteered At The Office Of Strategic Services
With a positive mindset, Julia didn’t dwell on her denial in the military for so long. She then thinks of a way where she can still utilize her willingness to join the military by volunteering for the Office of Strategic Services, which is OSS for short. With the future famed chef sitting beside her, most of the chefs barely recognized the potential that she has. There were notes that were left that says, “Good impression, pleasant, alert, capable, very tall.”

Sensitive Projects
The Office of the Strategic Services or OSS is a brand new organization, which was previously occupied by the Central Intelligence Agency. Julia was present in the times of formative years of this lofty organization. She did not only see the cascading years for the organization but she also witnessed a wide variety of sensitive projects throughout her whole stay here in this organization.

She Has The Most Important Role
Among all the other 4,500 women who are part of the said organization. Julia’s position is one of the most important roles present in the company. She was working at the headquarters which is located in Washington DC, and her job is to directly report to the general who is named General William J. Donovan. The general was then appointed one of the FDR to head the organization’s Office of Strategic Services.

Her work was to keep track of the thousands of names of each member of the armed services. Every day, Julia would tend to sit in her desk in OSS Headquarters and clack away at a typewriter. She was also known to be the research assistant for the special division of the Secret Intelligence. At first, all Julia wanted was to become a part of the armed services, but now, she is the one who oversees things that are happening to each member of the armed services.
