The Incredibles
This movie is much different from every other film on the list, but Disney truly stepped up their game when they released The Incredibles in 2004. This movie, which features a “normal” family trying to keep their insane superpowers a secret, was not the typical film about princesses or animals that Disney usually releases. Not only is the animation level impressive, but the plot of the movie is actually one that can keep both children and adults entertained throughout the duration.
Whiplash
Nearly everyone who viewed this 2014 film loved it and gave it high ratings, and it’s not a secret why. This film, which is based around a jazz drumming student battling his relationship with an abusive teacher, features incredible acting skills and really made the audience feel like they were a part of this series of events. It had the possibility to turn out poorly, but it hit every mark possible
