Hot Fuzz
There are a ton of comedies out in the universe, but many will tell you that Hot Fuzz is your best option. The 2007 British movie is about two police officers who are adamant about solving a crime of a mysterious chain of deaths in the area. While this doesn’t sound like a hilarious plot, trust us, it is. The jokes and plot foreshadowing are like nothing you’ll see in any other movie, and the way they throw in a tiny bit of horror, mystery, and action will blow your mind.

Even Roger Ebert, a film critic who is known for giving harsh reviews to every movie, called this 2004 film “the best superhero movie since the modern genre was launched with Superman“, and that says a lot about how amazing this movie really is. One of the best parts of this version of the movie is that they are able to keep a light-hearted tone throughout the movie while not discrediting what’s at stake in the film. Viewers find themselves growing attached not only to cheering for the success of Spider-Man, but also the success of his personal life.
