Its traditional name was Kelb-Tal-Fenek, which meant the dog of the rabbit. The Pharaoh Hound’s ancestors hunted gazelles with the Egyptian pharaohs. Even though it had Egyptian origins, it somehow crawled its way to Malta and became the national dog. The Pharaoh Hound had been around for 5,000 years and was known to be a smart and easily trainable dog. It could live from 11 to 14 years.

The Portuguese Water Dog came from the Algarve region of Portugal and had an average price of $3,000. It was a member of the White House from 2008 to 2016. The Portuguese Water Dog could live up to 15 years and could weigh up to 60 pounds. The Portuguese Water Dog was known to be hypoallergenic, good with families, smart, and had a cuddly trait.
