The dog breed was deemed to be a part of the toy class and was bred back in 1422. The history of Löwchen was confirmed by the number of paintings and tapestries that featured the dog. The Löwchen was bred to be a royal court dog to accompany the wealthy elites. It would just spend time all day on the lap of luxury.
