It had a long life of fifteen years, and males could reach over nine pounds of weight, while It would grow up to nine inches. The Maltese was a descendant of an extinct breed of dogs in the Central Mediterranean Basin. It might have a small height, yet they had a bold and playful attitude. In medieval times, it was known as a more caring lapdog than a hunter.

It had huge eyes, playful attitudes, a soft face, and curly tails. The attractiveness of this breed with their attitude and faithfulness to their owner would make them the best partner. In China, we could say that they were the emperor’s companion, who would cause mayhem inside the court. The Pug had been taken to Poland as a diplomatic gift and became the mascot of the House of Orange.
