Ann did not care about this and wouldn’tr budge. She told Clare that her dress was just too short and did not follow the dress code. Clare had been preparing for this night and she wasn’t willing to let anything ruin it. She even showed Ann how it passed the rule. Ann had no cards left to play and she allowed Clare to enter the dance.

Clare was so happy to be inside the dance but she couldn’t help but look around at the other girls dresses. She noticed that they were wearing dresses much shorter than hers and she found the whole situation pathetic. She started to enjoy the dance when she noticed something unusual happening above her.
