When Elvis was only 22 years old, he was wealthier than any other musician in the world. He decided to spend his money on a 13.8 acre mansion and called it Graceland. The King lived in his beautiful estate for 20 years before his death. No one is currently living there, as it is currently a museum and a National Historic Landmark. Elvis’ home was opened to the public in 1982 and is currently one of the most visited homes in the United States.

The early 1970’s were a rough few years for Elvis, especially 1973. The King was admitted into a hospital in a semi-comatose; he was completely unconscious and couldn’t be woken up. When he finally did wake up, he left the hospital, adamant about making a comeback. He went on to perform 168 concerts in 1973. Talk about a passion for music.
