For Universal Pictures’ 1971 film How to Frame a Figg, Don Knotts went back to playing a goofball comedic role, flashing his trademark surprised and wide-eyed face throughout the movie. Starting in 1956, Don Knotts had recurring appearances on the The Steve Allen Show and became an audience favorite.
