Sheila’s ordeal is dreadful, yet it’s not out of the usual. Animal cruelty for entertainment causes the vast majority of species to suffer, resulting in a brief and unhappy existence. Sheila’s rescuers are hoping she won’t face the same difficulties as her captors.

The US Department of Agriculture has opted to send her to In-Sync Exotics Wildlife Rescue and Education Center, an animal welfare group. Sheila had become unwell and was in critical condition. It’s a non-profit that helps stranded animals get back on their feet. It had been a terrible day for everyone.
