The Desire To Be The Monarch
There is another problem at play here. This is the suggestion that some of the royal family members do not want to rule. At the very least, they do not want to take over until they have first lived their lives. This makes sense, in a way. In a book called “Charles, Prince of Wales,” Gill Knappett said that Prince William would rather not “climb the ladder of kingship” until he is older.
How The Royals Feel About It
Prince Harry has said things that seem to support this. He said that many of his relatives do not want to be king or queen. “We are involved in modernizing the British monarchy. We are not doing this for ourselves but for the greater good of the people,” the Duke of Sussex shared with Newsweek in an interview in 2017. He went on, “Is there any one of the royal family who wants to be king or queen? I don’t think so, but we will carry out our duties at the right time.”
