The Isale-Eko Descendants Union has initiated the 2025 Community Wellness Outreach, offering complimentary health screenings to Isale Eko residents of all ages. This initiative, in partnership with Iyewo Health, encompasses vital health checks, disease screenings, and clean water distribution, along with educational sessions on health and safety. At the Isale-Eko Day 2025 event, IDU Chairman Adeniji Kazeem highlighted the crucial role of community collaboration in fostering a supportive environment for residents. He emphasized the importance of preventive healthcare, urging locals to utilize the free screenings for early detection and treatment. Kazeem also underscored the critical need for clean water and sanitation, noting the community’s effort to bridge this gap through their water outreach program.
Celebrating the rich cultural heritage of Isale Eko, Kazeem described the annual festivities as a way to honor its people and legacy. He announced the return of the event, revitalized after a brief hiatus, which will continue with a community walk on December 14, 2025. Khadijah Okunnu-Lamidi of Water Relief NG praised recent improvements in water access, supported by the Lagos Internal Revenue Service, while stressing the ongoing need for local manufacturing support to enhance infrastructure sustainably.
